Flip Flopping eBay

without comments

Fickle eBay with its profit lines have been beaten into submission on all fronts. I would think that they of all people would have the balls to stand up to there decisions… but no.

The BBC reports that eBay are now unlocking accounts of people who were banned for high bidding on Live8 tickets. So if i make a false bid on another item and get banned will i get unlocked? No.

eBay describes making a bid is a legally binding contract, much like when you win a item. So bidding something you obviously can’t pay for in my opinion is breach of contract? Isn’t that punishable under UK contract law? Hell it’s like saying to riot against the goverment, then complaining when you get arrested for resisting arrest.

I know that eBay want to keep there reputation, but as said on “8 out of 10 cats” on Channel 4 last night, it won’t bother any regular eBay shopper in the slightest. eBay is still a fantastic source of second hand goods and cheap new stuff.

Frankly, after all this i couldn’t give a toss about Live8 or Bob Geldof, the target of “helping africa” has fell to the sideline and gaining reputation seems to be the number one aim. As my friend Chris commented on my previous posts, the artists are going to gain on all fronts for this.

[edit]

Seems like alot of my friends have also picked up on this.
