Linux on a IBM 760EL

Okey, just got my old IBM laptop back from my dads, so now its time to get Linux installed on it. Its a very small form factor Pentium 133 from around 1994, 2.1gb HDD, and 64mb RAM.

The actual footprint of the laptop is smaller than my Powerbook but the Powerbook wins on depth, This must be at least a inch deep. Also the weight of it is triple my Powerbook, feels like two bags of sugar.

I’m going to post information about installing linux on this machine as there seems to be a serious lack of information. The only page i could find hasnt been updated since 2002, and with the release of the 2.6 kernel a few things have changed. Hopefully i should get round to installing Debian 3.1 on it tonight.
